Scarless Surgery

Advancing technology has made surgical procedure as relatively painless and scarless. Where five or six holes (port) are required to perform advance surgical procedure by conventional laparoscopic approach, leaving smaller scar but still visible scar on tummy. This is a choice among young obese female, who want surgery but do not have revealing scar on her tummy.

Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery, where single hole of 2 cm is made at naval (umbilicus) which itself is a scar since birth and specially designed port is inserted into abdominal (peritoneal) cavity. This specially designed port has 3 or 4 smaller hole and specially designed flexible instruments (rotaculating) are put inside the tummy through these smaller holes. This approach is usually performed by experienced laparoscopic surgeon who can complete surgery through single hole. In case of any difficulties arise during surgery, additional port may be placed to perform safe surgery.
