Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, known for his patriotic film roles and the nickname “Bharat Kumar,” recently underwent a successful gallbladder surgery.

After experiencing pain and swelling, Kumar was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri a few days prior.

The surgery itself lasted over an hour, and hospital director Ram Narain confirmed it went well and that Kumar is recovering favorably.

Kumar’s impressive filmography includes titles like ‘Purab aur Paschim’, ‘Roti Kapda Aur Makaan’, ‘Shor’, ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, ‘Kranti’, and ‘Do Badan’. He was also awarded the prestigious Padmashri honor in 1992.

Olympic bronze medalist boxer MC Mary Kom underwent keyhole surgery to have her gall bladder removed.

The procedure took place at the private Shija Hospital and Research Institute (SHRI) in Imphal, as reported by The Times of India.

Mary Kom’s husband, Onler Kom, revealed that she had been experiencing abdominal pain for several months leading up to the surgery.
